This reimagined Victorian home in Forest Gate transforms a compact property into a sanctuary for simple living and entertaining.

Natural materials like exposed timber, cork flooring, and bold colours harmoniously connect indoor and outdoor spaces.

Key features include a bespoke timber window bench with a large sliding window, pivot doors, full-length roof-lights, and bright pink steelwork, reflecting the couple’s playful vision.

Retained joists and unexpected finishes, such as terrazzo tiles on the façade and patio, add delightful moments throughout the space. Prioritising reuse, energy efficiency, and low-carbon materials, the design creates a home built for longevity and well-being.

CLIENT’S REVIEW

We're thrilled with how our home has been transformed! The natural light is a standout feature, with full-length roof-lights and large sliding windows making the space feel bright and connected to the outdoors. The flow between indoor living areas and the garden is seamless.

Our timber window bench is a cosy favourite, perfect for reading and relaxing. We love its connection to the garden and how it blends with the overall design. The cork flooring adds a soft, natural feel, while the playful use of bold colours and exposed timber brings fun and energy to the space.

The outdoor area has also been improved greatly, with patterned tiles and planters adding greenery and creating a calming atmosphere. Energy efficiency improvements like extra insulation and high-performance windows have made a noticeable difference. It’s a home designed for the future, and we look forward to living here for years to come.”
